Today's meal prepared in our kitchen consisted of Lentil dish, okra dish, Kohila and sprats mix fry, white and red rice and yoghurt for dessert.
The class was held today as usual. Today's subject was English. Children participated in it according to grades.
Today we had a special task. We didn't participate in cooking today. We did a Shramadanaya (volunteering in physical labour) near the temple and told everyone to come for the puja in the evening. There is a Hindu Kovil and a Buddhist temple in this place.
So, after cleaning both these places, and offering flowers and lamps, our team members prepared to give Beli flower herbal tea to those who came.
Also, today we were able to do another special thing in this collective work. That is giving food to a pregnant mother from the community kitchen today. Some people had also prepared food for this mother from their homes as much as they could. Not only food, but we all together also gifted that mother a beautiful new dress.
So, day by day, the youth who come to the premises of the community Kitchen has started to think and work collectively. They are realizing day by day that there is much more to be done for their own community.
ප්‍රජා මුලුතැන්ගෙය - 9 වැනි දවස
2022- ජූලි මස 12 වැනි අගහරුවාදා
පරිප්පු ව්‍යංජනය, බණ්ඩක්කා ව්‍යංජනය, කොහිල සහ හාල්මැස්සන් මිශ්‍ර කරපු බැදුමක් සමඟ රතු කැකුලු, සුදුකැකුලු බත් සමඟ යෝගට් තමයි අද අපේ මුලුතැන්ගේ කුස්සියේ ආහාර වේල විදියට සකස් වුණේ.
අදත් වෙනදා වගේම පංතිය පැවැත්වුණා. අද විෂය ඉංග්‍රීසි. ශ්‍රේණි අනුව එයට පිරිස් සහභාගී වුණා.
අද අපිට විශේෂ වැඩක් තිබුණා. අපි අද උයන්න සහභාගී වුණේ නෑ.කෝවිල අසල ශ්‍රමදානයක් සිදු කරලා හවස පුජාවට එන්න කියලා හැමෝටම කිව්වා. මේ ස්ථානයේ කෝවිලක් වගේම බුදුගෙයකුත් තියෙනවා.
ඉතිං මේ ස්ථාන දෙකම පිරිසිදු කරලා මල් පහන් පූජා කරලා, පහන් පත්තු කරලා එන අයට බෙලිමල් බොන්න දෙන්න අපේ කණ්ඩායමේ අය සුදානම් කරලා තිබුණා.
ඒ වගේම, අද තවත් සුවිශේෂි දෙයක් මේ සමූහික වැඩේ දී අපිට කරන්න පුළුවන් වුණා. ඒ තමයි ගැබිණි මාතාවකට අද ප්‍රජාමුලුතැන්ගේ කෑම ලබා දීම. මේ අම්මාට සමහර අය කෑම එයාලට පුළුවන් විදියට ගෙදරිනුත් හදාගෙන ඇවිල්ලා තිබුණා. කෑම විතරක්ම නෙමෙයි අපි ඔක්කොම එකතුවෙලා ලස්සන අලුත් ඇඳුමකුත් ඒ අම්මාට තෑගි කළා.
ඉතිං දවසින් දවස මේ ප්‍රජාමුලුතැන්ගේ පරිශ්‍රයට එන නවයෞවන යෞවනියන් සිතුවිලිවලින් වගේම ක්‍රියාවෙනුත් පුංචි පුංචි සාමූහික වැඩ කරන්න පටන්ගෙන තියෙනවා. ඔවුනට එකතු වෙලා ඔවුගේම ප්‍රජාව වෙනුවෙන් කරන්න තව බොහෝ දේ තියෙන බව ඔවුන් දවසින් දවස තේරුම් ගනිමින් ඉන්නවා.
